New Book Offers Touching Insights in Fatherhood
Bellingham, Wash.—February 3, 2014— Award winning author Derek Munson is celebrating the release of his new book, Bad Dad, with a blog tour February 2-8, 2014. Blog tours allow authors/illustrators, students, educators and book lovers to connect “virtually” through interviews on websites, podcasts, blog sites and on-line radio shows.
“People keep asking if this is an autobiography. No! At least not intentionally anyway,” said Munson. “I was trying to think of ways that a dad might get in trouble, and it just so happened that I had a very deep well to draw from.”
In addition to writing, Munson has been doing Enemy Pie Workshops and Presentations for children for nearly 10 years. He has presented to more than 100,000 students at public schools, private schools and libraries throughout the United States and abroad. The book Enemy Pie springs to life through his interactive workshops and assemblies. “My goal is to inspire imagination,” said Munson. “If there’s no excitement in writing, students will not do it. What I try to do is build that enthusiasm by involving students in my presentations.”
