Beatrix Potter Book Launch with Blog Tour and Signing at Powell’s Books at Cedar Hills Crossing

Portland, Ore.—January 27, 2016— Award-winning author Deborah Hopkinson is celebrating the release of her new book, Beatrix Potter and the Unfortunate Tale of a Borrowed Guinea Pig, with a book signing at 2pm, February 13, 2016, at Powell’s Books at Cedar Hills Crossing. Deborah will also be hosting a blog tour February 21-27, 2016. Blog tours allow authors/illustrators, students, educators and book lovers to connect “virtually” through interviews on websites, podcasts, blog sites and on-line radio shows.
Marking the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s birth in 2016, Beatrix Potter & the Unfortunate Tale of a Borrowed Guinea Pig is enchanting and hilarious, and looks inside the life of this prolific author. When Beatrix brings home her neighbor’s pet guinea pig so that she can paint it, well . . . it dies! What will she do? Written in the form of a “picture letter,” this charming tale is a wonderful introduction to a beloved author and illustrator.
